Swt Moves has Public Liability Insurance cover up to $1 million for accidents involving property (real estate) or personal injury. Items we move aren't covered by this though. We're very careful movers so damage rarely occurs. It is your responsibility to obtain your own Transit Insurance through your insurer, especially if you have very valuable items.

Our truck needs a height clearance of 2.9m for driveways with overhanging branches & to enter apartment buildings. We have a telescopic pruning saw onboard if cutting branches is an option.

For safety reasons, we wear steel-capped footwear. Removing our shoes isn't an option, but we can lay our moving blankets down to protect your carpet if you wish. Note that this adds time to your move.

Balcony & roof moves (or similar) will only be carried out if it's safe to do so and without damage to items or property. For Health & Safety reasons, we cannot take on these types of moves on busy streets. We also cannot move items with ladder access.

Date & Time *

Our usual hours are 7:30am – 7:30pm, Monday – Sunday, except for Easter Sunday and the 1-2 weeks after Christmas. As of Tuesday 5th January, we're now open again for business as usual, after our Christmas break. Note that we're not available for 2-mover jobs on Mondays which are dedicated for quick 1-mover jobs only. We currently only have 1 worker available on Mondays. The purpose of this form is for us to collect enough information to be able to give you a quote and let you know our availability. It is not an indication of our available times, nor is it a self-booking facility.

Our charging is the fairest in the industry. After the 1st hour, we only charge every 5 minute interval, eg. you won't be charged for an additional full hour or half hour if it's only a few minutes over the hour mark. There are also no call-out fees.

We don't offer a packing service, nor sell or rent out boxes/crates. All boxes should be well taped, top & bottom to prevent breakage from items falling through. Loose miscellaneous items should be boxed or bagged to prevent breakages. Having open boxes or too many loose items would take longer & end up costing you more.

What is the maximum number of SMALL or MEDIUM boxes or bags you're likely to have? (Don't list any furniture here). *

For safety & liability reasons, our movers can never carry items with customers, but customers can carry items amongst themselves. For moves charged by hourly rate, helping will save you time & reduce the cost of the move, but this entirely your choice. Because of the pandemic, a 2m distance must be maintained between you and our workers.

Heavy-duty plastic bed bags are free if used during the move only, otherwise they are $15 including GST each to purchase. This only applies to box bases or split bases. We cover head boards & foot boards of slat bases with moving blankets in the truck.

How many bed bags would you like to purchase?

Heavy-duty plastic bed bags are $15 including GST each to purchase. Stocks may be limited though, depending on demand. Bed bags are free to use during the move if you don’t keep them. We only stock King size bags. We use these for all size mattresses & bases, including Super King size.

Accurate list of items (excluding boxes/bags) *

Don't forget to list any whiteware (washer, dryer, fridge), bikes, outdoor furniture, plants or anything you have stored in the garage or shed you need to be moved! Items we don't move: French door fridges, fridges over 700m in width, commercial items, commercial refrigeration, upright pianos, spa pools, cars, motorcycles, large joinery, full size snooker tables, trampolines/outdoor play houses & sheds not dismantled prior. We cannot guarantee that we can move any items not listed. If you have corner couches, sofa beds or corner desks, please state this here. These take up more space in the truck & take longer to move. Oil trays of industrial sewing machines must be drained prior. We can disconnect washers & dryers but for liability reasons, we don't offer a service to re-connect them. Plants: we can transport plants, but these take up a lot of floor space in the truck, since stacking them is tricky without causing damage. If you have a lot of plants, they are best transported in a car, ute, trailer or van.
